COMMERCIAL Estates Group, the developer of office scheme 84 Albion Street in Leeds, has named WSB Property Consultants and Fox Lloyd Jones as its retained agents.
 
CEG is set to transform the building through a comprehensive £1m refurbishment which will ultimately create 17,225 sq ft of space with accommodation available on a floor by floor basis from 3,445 sq ft.

Duncan Senior, partner at WSB, said: “We are very pleased to have been appointed by CEG to market 84 Albion Street, the scheme will offer occupiers exceptional office accommodation in the heart of the city centre and uniquely they will have the ability tailor the design and finishes to create a bespoke product.”

PROPERTY firm Morgans is recruiting eight people to work across its city centre and newly opened North Leeds offices.

The Leeds-based business said the move was as a direct result of increased business throughout its residential lettings and sales departments.
 
Morgans recently invested more than £500,000 creating a new state of the art office on Otley Road in Headingley and said business is up following the move.

Morgans currently employs a team of 30.

COMMERCIAL property advisor GVA has completed the acquisition of Unit B Brookfield’s Park in Rotherham on behalf of S2S Electronics.

The property is a modern detached warehouse of around 45,000 sq ft and is located off Manvers Way in the Dearne Valley. 

Iain McPhail, associate in GVA’s Yorkshire industrial agency team, said: “We are delighted to have secured a new long term home for S2S, which will allow the business to grow for the foreseeable future.”

BRADFORD Beekeepers Association has chosen Inspire Bradford Business Park as its new base.

The group will house four hives at the iste in order to be able to provide people with training and educational sessions about bees. 

Initially, two of the hives will house 50,000 European honey bees each, with the other two remaining empty until the existing bees reproduce and need to be divided into separate swarms.

Bill Cadmore, chair of Bradford Beekeepers Association, said: “We are delighted to be establishing a permanent base at Inspire Bradford Business Park. Tony understands that bees play a vitally important part in our delicate ecosystem and has been passionate about the project from the start.”

COLLIERS International’s retail team in Yorkshire has acquired the former Plumb Centre premises at 555 Ecclesall Road in Sheffield on behalf of Sainsbury’s Local for a new 5,698 sq ft store.

This follows news of recent acquisitions for Sainsbury’s Local stores at 23-25 Division Street in Sheffield (4,000 sq ft), Street Lane in Leeds (4514 sq ft) and Harrogate Road in Leeds (3,000 sq ft).
