CBRE’s Leeds office agency team has been instructed to market 10,000 sq ft of office accommodation at One City West on City West Office Park.
A refurbishment programme is also underway by firm’s building consultancy team at the building, which is located to the West of Leeds city centre.
Senior Surveyor at CBRE Leeds, Alex Hailey, said; “We are really pleased to be marketing One City West. The current refurbishment programme to the common parts and ground floor offices, plus an installation of a 4m high mural, will further enhance this already superb offering in a prominent location.”

CONTEMPORARY furniture and home accessories retailer Dwell is to open its first shop in Leeds.
Retail property consultant Barker Proudlove agreed a surrender with retailer Muji, which paid landlord Scottish Widows Investment Partnership a seven figure surrender premium to vacate the property.
Barker Proudlove has agreed a new 10 year lease with Dwell at a rent of £275,000 per year with six months rent free. The property totals 8,000 sq ft over four levels.
Jonathan Newns, of Barker Proudlove, said: “This transaction demonstrates that demand for the city remains strong and that with the current lack of availability there are opportunities for landlords to drive value.”

LEEDS City Council generated £646,500 from the sale of two surplus properties at the most recent Eddisons auction.
These included a vacant detached house in the Headingley area of Leeds which sold for £454,000, more than £100,000 over its original guide price.
The property on Spring Road was last used as offices and has also served as a Women’s Crisis Centre.
Meanwhile, a vacant inner through terraced house off Chapeltown Road in Leeds raised £192,500, despite being in need of complete renovation and modernisation.
Elsewhere, a former Leeds Presbytery sold for £300,000.
Eddisons reported that 101 (70%) of the 144 lots offered at its recent two sales in Leeds and Manchester sold, generating proceeds of more than £6.8m.

WORK has begun on site for a new mixed-use scheme in Lichfield, Staffordshire, designed by Chetwoods Architects’ Leeds team.
The first phase of the £14m Friary Outer development includes a multi-storey car park, public toilets, 54 supported housing association apartments for older people and six shared ownership homes.
Chetwoods won planning permission for the scheme in April 2011.
Friary Outer is contracted by Miller Construction and is being developed by York based S Harrison.

AMANDA May has rejoined Dacre, Son & Hartley’s Skipton office where she originally started her career 30 year property career.
Ms May joins the business as a senior residential valuer. She previously spent 10 years with the firm’s Skipton office before moving to Australia to work for Richard Ellis, which later became CBRE.
After returning to the UK, Ms May joined James Pye & Son as a partner before being appointed as Broughton Hall’s commercial property manager overseeing the estate’s office and residential property portfolios.
