Growth for Bartlett
BARTLETT, the independent chartered insurance broker and financial services group, is seeing continued growth and is investing in the talents of young recruits from across the region.
The Bartlett Group’s head office is in Leeds, and the business has further offices in London, the USA, Germany, Holland, France, Hong Kong, and most recently in Uganda. In addition, Bartlett has a network of associates around the globe.
Bartlett’s principal UK divisions are Bartlett & Company, which holds Chartered Insurance Broker status, and Bartlett Wealth Management.
Bartlett Wealth Management’s investment committee has reported outstanding portfolio performance over the two years since its launch.
An example of this success is Bartlett’s ‘moderate risk’ pension portfolio which has grown by 18.96%, outperforming its benchmark by 2.92%.
David Bates, investment committee director at Bartlett, said: “It is encouraging to learn that there is growth to be found despite the obvious economic hardships.
“We have selected fund managers with track records of operating successfully in all market conditions. The Bartlett Investment Committee has constructed, and continues to develop, portfolios that outperform.”
In 2011, Bartlett & Company was recognised at the UK Broker Awards, winning ‘Chartered Broker of the Year’ and ‘Commercial Lines Intermediary of the Year’. Bartlett’s North American office in Philadelphia also won a national Award for Excellence.
And the group continues to invest in its own future. At its head office, the firm has created graduate schemes and apprenticeship positions within both its insurance and financial services arms.
Each scheme offers participants a structured path towards becoming a chartered professional, and gives support to achieving this.
Bartlett has always placed primary importance on the quality of its people, and staff turnover is low as a result. Over the last 12 months, six members of staff celebrated their 25th anniversary with the group.
Earlier this year, Bartlett & Company became a registered Lloyd’s broker, opening up new markets for the group.
