Investor speculation mounts over Leeds United
THREE groups are understood to have declared an interest in investing in Leeds United.
As reported by TheBusinessDesk.com earlier this week, the Championship club confirmed that talks were taking place “regarding investment for the long-term future”.
Although the Elland Road outfit declined to comment further, the Leeds United Supporters’ Trust claimed that two “firm offers” were on the table.
One potential investor from North America is understood to have declared an interest.
However, Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment, the owner of Canadian ice hockey team Toronto Maple Leafs, has ruled itself out of any involvement via social networking website Twitter.
