Export event to be rescheduled

AN EXPORT convention organised by the Institute of Directors in Yorkshire has been postponed after Trade Minister Lord Green pulled out.
Kenton Robbins, regional director of the IoD, said the event is set to be rescheduled for later this year.
The Momentum Gathering event was organised as part of the Yorkshire Business and Arts Festival, which will feature headline speaker the Dalai Lama this Friday.
The export event, scheduled to be held next Monday, was aimed at companies in the region looking to trade overseas.
Commenting on the postponement, Mr Robbins said: “We have encountered unforseen circumstances beyond our control, coupled with this Lord Green has been forced to pull out.
“We are now looking forward to delivering the same value and insight in the autumn in conjunction with our partners UKTI, Leeds Metropolitan University and event exhibitors as part of our commitment to the Yorkshire business community.”
The Yorkshire International Business Convention in Leeds on Friday is now the only part of the festival still going ahead following the earlier cancellation of a weekend arts festival.
