A HOLIDAY park in the Lake District National Park has been sold by the Leeds-based team of GVA Hotels and Leisure based on a guide price of £6.5m.
The 23.3-acres at Hillcroft Park, Pooley Bridge, has been snapped up by a private buyer from North Dales.
Peter Smith, director at GVA in its Leeds-based Hotels and Leisure team which handled the sale, said: “Hillcroft represented a rare opportunity to acquire an established holiday park in such a highly desirable location. Significant interest was expressed during the sales process and we are delighted to announce that negotiations have reached a successful conclusion.”

SAINSBURY’S Local is to open a 3,500 sq ft store at Brewery Wharf in Leeds.
The retail agency team at Colliers International has acquired the space on behalf of the supermarket group.
The opening follows three recent acquisitions for Sainsbury’s Local stores in Leeds.

PROCEEDS of almost £8m were generated at a recent property auction.
Eddisons reported that 99 (73%) of the 135 lots offered at their two day sale in Leeds and Manchester were sold.
Tony Webber of Eddisons said: “This was an excellent performance with investors responding positively to the realistic guide prices and in many cases bidding on multiple lots.
“Buyers were out in force which clearly demonstrated that property remains preferable to more traditional forms of investment.”

RESIDENTIAL auctioneer The Auction People has announced it has signed up national estate agent, Reeds Rains to its new auction service.
The Auction People, which is the residential arm of property auctioneer, Pugh and Co, will now be offering Reeds Rains customers an alternative route to selling a property across its entire brand network.
