Launch for Leodis Wealth

INVESTMENT management and financial planning company Leodis Wealth has launched.

The Leeds-based operation has been created by law firm Lupton Fawcett, establishing its existing in-house asset management department as a separate business.

The whole of the firm’s asset management team has transferred to Leodis Wealth, which will be headed by Paul Smith.

Mr Smith joined Lupton Fawcett in 2002, and subsequently took charge of the Lupton Fawcett asset management business from its founder, John Eaton. Mr Eaton has also become a director of Leodis Wealth.

Richard Marshall, Lupton Fawcett’s managing director, said: “We believe that there is tremendous growth potential in wealth management services and that establishing Leodis Wealth as an independent business, rather than as a division of Lupton Fawcett, will allow the new business to develop and attract a wider range of clients.”

Mr Smith added: “Leodis Wealth will continue to offer investment management and financial planning services to private clients. We also believe that it is the ideal platform to further enhance our proposition to clients and this may include attracting new people to join the company with complementary skills and ideas.”
