Cobbetts restructures management team

LAW firm Cobbetts has announced changes to its management structure that will see the creation of three new business practice groups and an executive management team.

Cobbetts has formed three business practice groups – business services, dispute resolution and real estate.

Partner Guy Jackson (pictured left) has been made business practice group leader for business services, which will consist of its corporate and commercial teams, including charities and private client, banking and business restructuring services, employment and pensions.

Its dispute resolution business practice will be headed by partner Richard Webb, which contains banking and finance, dispute resolution and debt recovery business Incasso.

Partner Paul Inman has been made group leader of the real estate business practice group and will include the firm’s real estate, projects, property management and telecoms & energy teams.

The firm has also appointed new office heads in each of its regional offices. Paul Johnson has been appointed head of its Manchester office, Andrew Flounders will lead its Leeds office and Chris Ramage has been placed in charge of its London office. The firm’s Birmingham office will continue to be managed by Graham Muth.

Managing partner Nick Carr said: “The creation of three distinct business practice groups will help to streamline the strategic and operational management of the business, while also enabling us to focus on our core strengths as a firm.

“I look forward to working closely with the executive management team to drive forward our strategy of regional focus, national reach and international outlook.

“I’d also like to take the opportunity to congratulate our regional office heads, Graham Muth, Andrew Flounders, Chris Ramage and Paul Johnson, whose roles are essential in maintaining our reputation as a leading national law firm with a strong regional presence.”
