Acquisition boosts Sky High

SKY High’s results are set to show a “significant improvement” on last year, the company said this morning.

The Tadcaster-based data analysis business confirmed it has returned to profit despite a weaker second half.

It bought transport data firm Count on Us earlier this year in a deal which saw Reading Football Club chairman Sir John Madejski join the Sky High board.

The company said Count on Us had contributed to a strong performance in its UK traffic division in the first quarter of the current year, helping to offset disappointing results from its Australia operation.

Sky High is also hoping the acquisition well help it capitalise on the Government’s increased emphasis on investment in the UK’s road and rail network because of its greater geographic coverage.

The company expects to release its results in the first week of September.
