Highcross celebrates out of town deal

GAMING and amusement machine operator Gamestec has relocated to a new home in what is thought to be the largest out of town office letting in Leeds for several years.

The firm has taken 14,000 sq ft at the WIRA Business Park having decided to leave the base in Horsforth it had occupied since the 1970s.

Neil Lancaster, HR Director at Gamestec said: “We’re delighted to be moving to WIRA, the park offers us the opportunity for our staff to all be on one level which is crucial for communication, previously we were split over several levels.

“We have the potential to grow here too, and we just liked the buzz of the place, it is very much what Gamestec are all about.”

WIRA is 90% occupied with other tenants including Rivendell, Rilwood and LDD Group.

Alex Hyams, asset Manager for operator Highcross, said: “Gamestec’s decision to choose WIRA Business Park as their new base, in what is an exciting and important chapter for their business, highlights the appeal of the park.

“The scheme is almost full and provides a thriving business community which we hope will attract even more occupiers.”

Robin Beagley, partner at WSB Property – joint letting agents with Ryden, said: “It was a pleasure to work with Neil and his team on what is one of the most significant office deals in the area in recent years. Gamestec’s decision to relocate to WIRA is testament to the flexibility and quality of accommodation offered by the scheme.”
