Paragon to expand

TWO companies have joined forces to acquire 1.5 acres of land with planning approval for a 30,000 sq ft purpose built new office complex at Paragon Business Village, Wakefield.

The joint venture – between companies Eshton Property Development and Burley Developments – was formed in response to the current demand for small to medium sized business premises.

Eshton Paragon acquired the land from site owner Yorkcourt Properties and plans to develop a range of self contained offices from 1,000 to 6,000 sq ft.

Mike Smith, director at Burley Developments commented: “When we began looking for new sites to develop, it was clear that Paragon Business Village had firmly positioned itself as a prime location for commerce within Yorkshire.

“Paragon benefits from fantastic transport links and a multitude of conveniences –the on going success of the site is testament to the growing trend for businesses to relocate to quality and convenient out of town business parks.”

Colliers CRE and CBRE have been appointed joint letting agents for the scheme and are predicting that interest in the new units will be strong.

Colin Mackie at Yorkcourt Properties said: “‘We are delighted that Eshton Paragon has completed the purchase of land to develop at Paragon Business Village. Paragon has already been highly successful in bringing large corporations to Wakefield and we look forward to welcoming smaller, up-and-coming businesses to the growing community here.”

Located just off the A650, one mile from the M1, Paragon Business Village has easy access to Leeds and Wakefield city centres.
