WAKEFIELD-BASED Lease 360 Evolution is set to grow after having received a £350,000 equity investment from Partnership Investment Finance (PIF).

The company’s services include breakdown cover, driver training and risk management as well as accident management facilities.

The new capital will help it expand into new markets including a price comparison site for clients and schemes for franchised dealer workshops.

PIF is a £37m investment fund partly funded by the European Regional Development Fund  aimed at supporting growing businesses in the Yorkshire region.

CONSTRUCTION firm ISG has won a £1.8m project with the University of Leeds to refurbish the Michael Sadler building

The 20-week project will see the ground floor, known as The Link, redesigned, refurbished and revamped.  The new building will have new lecture rooms, staff facilities and improved communal areas and leisure facilities.

GILLIAN Cruddas, chief executive of Visit York has been awarded a Fellowship by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) in recognition of her successful career in marketing tourism.

She has spent 30 years in the tourism industry, setting up the Conference Desk in Hull and in 1995 was appointed chief executive of York Tourism Bureau. In April this year, she was made chief executive of Visit York, the new single tourist board for the city.

She helped York to win the European Tourism City of the Year award, beating off stiff competition from Valencia and Gothenburg.

LEEDS-BASED company Zenith Contracts has won a new contract to supply 220 cars to Enterprise Inns, one of the UK’s largest pub companies.

Zenith is providing a large range of services as part of the contract including hire cars and accident management systems.

The majority of vehicles will be provided through an Employee Car Ownership (ECO) scheme.
