Brimblecombe to leave Gregory Property Group

GREGORY Property Group managing director David Brimblecombe is to leave the role.

Mr Brimblecombe will step down as managing director at the end of September but remain on the board of Gregory Projects (Halifax) until the end of the year.

His decision comes just weeks after construction work was completed on the Broad Street Plaza mixed use scheme in Halifax.

Mr Brimblecombe said: “Making these decisions is never easy, particularly at a place where work has been a pleasure. The small knit team has been a joy to be with and it has been a privilege to work at the side of the chairman, Barry Gregory over the last seven years.

“Pressure of other external commitments, in particular the chairmanship of the Kelda Pension Scheme is taking so much of my time that I need to make a change. That has been a key factor in my decision.

“The other critical factor has been the completion of the Broad Street scheme in Halifax, with which I have been closely associated. Now just seems like the right time to move on.”

Mr Brimblecombe joined Leeds-based Gregory Group in 2005 after seven years as managing director of KeyLand Developments.

Gregory Property Group chairman Barry Gregory said: “David has worked assiduously and to great effect over the period he has been with the group and I would like to say a personal thank you for that.  We shall all miss him next year and beyond and wish him all the very best for the future.”
