Bahrain sale for Eddisons

THE Leeds office of Eddisons has won the contract to sell a satellite broadcasting facility in Bahrain.

Eddisons is looking for offers above US$1m (£620,000) for the facility which is based in the Ministry of Communications.

Jason Pinder, head of machinery and business assets at Eddisons, said: “This is a fully operational facility, benefiting from significant upgrades and investments, which we are aiming to sell as a whole by private treaty.

“We expect plenty of interest from within the Middle East and North Africa where there is currently a shortage of high quality broadcasting equipment.”

Eddisons is marketing the operation on behalf of Orbit Showtime Network, one of the biggest broadcasters in the Middle East.

The sale is the latest in a series of high profile disposals handled by Eddisons including a 200 strong haulage fleet and a multi-location Mercedes commercial dealership.
