Czech Republic full of opportunity discover region’s business leaders

YORKSHIRE business leaders were given an insight Eastern European commercial opportunities courtesy of law firm DLA Piper.

Speakers at the seminar included Jan Winkler, Czech ambassador to the UK, Hana Chlebna, director of Czech Invest, and Jaroslav Klapal, of DLA Piper’s Prague office.

The Central Eastern Business Network (CEBN) event was aimed at providing practical advice on developing business opportunities in the Czech Republic.

Mr Klapal said: “The Czech Republic offers a range of possibilities for a business community as diverse as Leeds.

“This was a fantastic opportunity to give Yorkshire businesses guidance on how to develop links with this burgeoning market.”

The seminar was held in advance of a business mission to the MSV Engineering Fair in the Czech Republic in September.

Joanna Lavan from the CEBN said: “The seminar was part of a series designed to give local businesses the knowledge and intercultural awareness they need to succeed in Central and Eastern Europe.”
