YORKSHIRE Housing has sold three office buildings totalling £1.91m.

The largest property to be sold was Yorkshire House in York, the 10,626 sq ft building was sold to York University. Located on the University of York Science Park campus the building comprises three storeys of open-plan grade A space.

AVIVA Investors has appointed real estate advisor Savills as joint letting agents with Jones Lang LaSalle on 1 City Square in Leeds.

The building totals 17,921 sq ft of vacant office space over two floors and features three suites and is being marketed at quoting rents of £25 per sq ft.

Paul Fairhurst, head of office at Savills Leeds, said: “Set in an enviable location across from the mainline train station and overlooking City Square and Park Row, 1 City Square is one of the most recognisable office space in Leeds. We therefore anticipate a high level of interest for this prime grade A space.”

THREADNEEDLE Property Investments has brought Jones Lang LaSalle on board as joint property agents with B8 Real Estate on its 126,000 sq ft self-contained modern warehouse unit at Lowfields Business Park in Elland.

Trans Pennine 6/62 was speculatively constructed in 2005 by developer PPG Land. It has been occupied since completion by Bibby Distribution but will become vacant in April. The unit offers 12 metre eaves and eight dock and two ground level loading doors. The property can accommodate up to 20,000 pallet positions.

Richard Harris, head of industrial and logistics agency at Jones Lang LaSalle in Leeds, said: “Lowfields Business Park is a successful industrial estate only one mile from Junction 24 of the M62 and we anticipate, particularly given the lack of available quality warehouse product along the M62 corridor, that we will see a good level of interest in this unit.

“Its location, equidistant between Leeds and Manchester, means that is ideally placed to serve the Trans Pennine corridor and the North of England as a whole.”
