Financial Appointments: Partners join KPMG Leeds office and more

A round-up of the week’s financial appointments.
KPMG has announced two partners have joined its Leeds tax practice.
Richard Little and John Campbell join partners Mike Linter, Mark Avery and Dermot Callinan and the seven tax directors.
Mr Little moves from KPMG’s Manchester office, where he has been a partner for three years.
He will focuson large businesses and international tax.
John Campbell is returning to Yorkshire after eight years leading KPMG’s Newcastle tax practice.
The advisory experience he will share in Yorkshire includes particularly in-depth knowledge of the issues facing large and AIM listed firms.
Mike Linter, Leeds based head of KPMG’s tax practice across the North, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Richard and John to the Leeds team, where our ability to help many clients reduce their tax costs is currently in great demand as organisations look for all possible efficiency opportunities.”

SOVEREIGN Health Care has appointed two new directors to its board.
Kate Robb-Webb has been appointed finance director of the Bradford-based not-for-profit organisation, while Dr Bob Dugdale has been made non-executive director.
Ms Robb-Webb, who lives in Burley-in-Wharfedale, previously worked for Leeds Grammar School where she was deputy director of finance for more than three years.
Before that she was based in London as head of finance at the Employers Forum on Disability.
Dr Dugdale has been involved with Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust for more than 30 years, in roles ranging from senior/principal grade physicist and director of risk management to secretary to the board of the foundation trust.
He will combine an existing part-time role as a provider arm governance advisor at Leeds Primary Care Trust with three days a month as executive director to the Sovereign board.
Sovereign Health Care provides health care cash plans to private and corporate clients throughout the UK, including leading trade unions, NHS Trusts and household names like WM Morrison Supermarkets plc, The Co-operative Group, West Yorkshire Police, London Underground, National Power, Royal Mail and Johnson & Johnson.

ALLIANCE & Leicester Commercial Bank has announced the appointment of Paul Griffiths to the role of head of the bank’s South Yorkshire Business Centre in Sheffield.
Hull-born Mr Griffiths has lived and worked in South Yorkshire for the last 10 years, having worked in Sheffield, Rotherham and Doncaster.
He was previously a senior relationship manager, having joined Alliance & Leicester Commercial Bank in 2007 from HSBC.
David Spencer, regional director at Alliance & Leicester Commercial Bank said: “With Paul’s local knowledge and commercial banking expertise he has proven to be a great asset to the bank and to local businesses. Paul’s promotion highlights the bank’s continued commitment to businesses in the region, helping them to expand and develop. Mr Griffiths will lead the team at Alliance & Leicester Commercial Bank’s South Yorkshire Business Centre on Queen Street, Sheffield.
The Business Centre looks after businesses with a turnover in excess of £1m or with borrowing requirements over £100,000.
