Media Buzz: HMA; Über; Limehouse

A BARNSLEY-based digital marketing firm is on course to double in size.

HMA Digital Marketing has gone from 12 employees to 17 in one year, with a view to increasing to 25 by 2015. Turnover is also expected to double by then to £1.5m.

The company was established in 1995. Early clients of the company include Network Rail, which still works with HMA today.

Others include multinational technology business 3M, commercial property management company MEPC and the University of Sheffield.

Director Rob Hill said a combination of increased business from current clients and client gains had led to the rapid growth. The expansion has been supported by the Enterprising Barnsley programme, which targets high growth businesses in the borough, and has been advising on changes to the management structure.

REGENERATION company Urban Splash has welcomed creative marketing agency Über to its new office space at the redeveloped Park Hill.

Über has completed its move from its previous office in Attercliffe to the new commercial units at Park Hill.

The agency’s 28-strong workforce is now based across three floors at the Grade two listed building with Über having taken a total of 3,963 sqft.

The company will be the first business neighbours for Human Studio, which moved into its 1,103 sq ft office earlier this year.

COMMUNICATIONS agency Limehouse was tasked with turning a fun-filled Orient Express trip into a video production for the Yorkshire Tea website.

Two hundred tea lovers, including Yorkshire celebrities Michael Vaughan and Louis Tomlinson, boarded the Orient Express for tea with a difference. The Yorkshire Tea train travelled from London Kings Cross on a three hour journey, allowing its passengers time to indulge in a proper brew and all things tea related, whilst enjoying the tunes of the Yorkshire Tea band.

Rick Dooley, Limehouse producer on the project, said: “It was a very tight turnaround and a bit of a military operation to get the flip cameras sent out, distributed on the train and back to our HQ for editing. By converting the files overnight we were able to have the finished product signed off 48hours after the event and uploaded onto the Yorkshire Tea site ready for the weekend.”

The Halifax-based communications company first worked with Yorkshire Tea in March 2012 when it commissioned to deliver a series of videos focusing on ‘Little Urn’, Yorkshire Tea’s touring van and its visit to Scotland.
