Media Buzz: Umpf; Acceleris; Fox Communications

THE Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has appointed Umpf as its social media agency for its Park Inn by Radisson brand across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Park Inn by Radisson, which has recently opened hotels in Glasgow, Amsterdam, Lille and Budapest, is the group’s fast-growing, mid-market brand with 160 hotels open or under development across EMEA.
Umpf MD and founder Adrian Johnson heads a team of five who will report into Nico Tempelaere, EMEA social media director for Carlson Rezidor, who is based in the group’s European headquarters in Brussels.
The Leeds-based agency, which pitched against companies from Brussels and London, will be responsible for a new social media strategy, community management, social stunts as well as wider campaigns for Park Inn by Radisson.

In recent months the Acceleris team has devised and implemented integrated communications campaigns for the UK’s leading fuel card reseller The Fuelcard Company, Bauer Media’s MCN London Motor Cycle Show, leading vehicle rental supply, management and software company, Nexus Vehicle Management, as well as leading classified websites.

FOX Communications has appointed Claire Arbuckle to work on a raft of new client account wins.
She joins from brand design agency Chilli, which works with brands including McVities, WD40, Tetley and JCT600, and will be focusing Fox’s client accounts in the cause related marketing sector and in the tourism field.
