PR, Marketing and HR Appointments: Waterside and Brahm appoint and more

A round-up of appointments across the PR, Marketing and HR sector.
WATERSIDE COMMUNICATIONS has appointed a new account executive, Amy Colwill, to work with customers across the property, catering and travel sectors.
Ms Colwill joins the Leeds based PR agency from Beattie Communications and brings more than two years of experience to the agency.
A graduate from Leeds Metropolitan University, she has also worked for Dialogue, a PR agency specialising in advising property clients on planning issues.
Lisa Dury, managing director of Waterside Communications, said: “Amy joins us with an excellent grounding in property PR, the media and events organisation and she is going to be a valued member of the team.”

SIMON Shaw has joined the research and planning team at marketing communications agency Brahm based in Headingley, Leeds.
Mr Shaw joins the company as an account director from Norwich Union, where he was customer and brand insight manager responsible for brand and communications development, customer experience and brand tracking, and new product development.
He has also previously worked at NFO WorldGroup in London and TNS working with a diverse array of financial brands including the London Stock Exchange, RBS and Intelligent Finance.
Mr Shaw’s appointment follows a number of recent wins for Brahm’s research and insight team including Royal Mail, Electoral Commission and HBOS which has seen the team grow two-fold in the last year.

SHEFFIELD-BASED advertising agency Front has strengthened its core creative and account management teams with the appointments of Paul Copley as a senior creative and Matt Cockrean as an account executive.
Mr Copley will be working alongside Chris David – Front’s creative director – and will be helping to drive the creative offering of the agency forward.
His primary clients will include; Royal Horticultural Society, Yorkshire Tourist Board, National Railway Museum and VisitBritain. Prior to joining Front, Paul held positions at Purple Circle, Linney Design and Ledgard Jepson.
Whilst on the account management side, Mr Cockrean – a 2007 Business Studies graduate from Sheffield Hallam University – will be providing vital client and project management support.

GOLLEY Slater Public Relations office in Leeds has strengthened its team with three appointments.
Nina Hands joins as a senior account manager, Laura Craggs joins as an account executive and Sarah Stafford has been promoted to senior account executive.
Ms Hands has five years PR experience, previously working at Leeds-based agency, Brahm.
Ms Craggs, who has recently graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University after completing her PR degree which included an industrial placement in the press office of McDonalds, will be working on accounts with clients including bakery retailer Greggs and solicitors Last Cawthra Feather.
Ms Stafford has been with Golley Slater for just over a year and has excelled in her role and is making a quick move up the career ladder.
