Xamax makes six figure investment in new machinery

XAMAX, the work and sportswear clothing specialist, has invested more than £100,000 in new machinery to allow it to increase capacity.

The Wakefield-based firm has bought two new screen-printing dryers, which it said will revolutionise the drying process for the business.

Managing director, Graham Thompson, said: “We are always looking at new machinery and know that in order to keep one step ahead of the competition we need to invest in kit that will deliver not only for us but also the client. These two new machines will allow us to increase our output, whilst also meeting with the increasing demands from our customers.”

The new follows a recent expansion at the premises on Roundwood Industrial Estate, along with the opening of a purpose built customer facing store. Xamax also announced last month that is has increased its sales by 40%.

Working predominantly with small to medium sized companies, the business provides branded work and sportswear which is manufactured in the UK.
