Henderson boosts team

INDEPENDENT firm Henderson Insurance Brokers has announced plans to boost its staff numbers by creating 30 new jobs.

The Leeds-based company will recruit a further 30 new staff to add to its team of 240 specialists in corporate insurance.

Henderson, which is one of the fastest growing companies in the UK, recently established new city centre offices in Leeds and Manchester.

Chief executive Joe Henderson said: “The proven policy of recruiting high-quality staff is crucial to our long-term business strategy of delivery the best quality and best value service to our clients.

“It’s significant that many of the candidates approaching us are coming from established national brokers or ‘consolidators’ which suggest that morale is suffering and some people might not be feeling too secure during the current credit crunch.”

Founded in 1986, the £125m turnover company specialises in offering specialist insurance services in the construction; haulage; healthcare; professional services; retail and property development sectors.
