Yorkshire IT security specialist acquired

AN IT security specialist based in Yorkshire has been acquired by one of the largest IT services businesses in the UK.

London-based Capita IT Services has swooped for Network Technology Solutions (UK), an IT security reseller which provides support and managed services across the private and public sectors.

Network Technology Solutions was formed in 2004 and offers a range of security solutions including intrusion detection and prevention, data loss prevention and remote access.

The business has 46 employees based in Shipley and London, and client sectors include local and central government, healthcare, retail, finance, and education.

Peter Hands, executive director of Capita IT Services, said: “Network Technology Solutions has clients across many of the sectors in which we operate and has a strong reputation as a trusted provider of security technology and support. As part of our technology solutions division, Network Technology Solutions will strengthen our security capability and ensure we continue to meet the needs of our clients across the UK.”
