Yorkshire housebuilder sees record results

YORKSHIRE housebuilder Stonebridge Homes has announced a record year.

The Leeds business expects turnover to pass £10m and is moving to new larger headquarters in Horsforth.

The three-year-old company has accelerated the pace of development for both its homes and office divisions. Its serviced office on the prestigious Park Square in Leeds has brought forward plans to accommodate demand and the Government’s Help to Buy scheme has fuelled sales of new homes at the company’s four sites across the region.

Commenting on the expansion Darren Stubbs, managing director of Stonebridge Homes said: “We have worked hard to put all the infrastructure in place to benefit from the recovery. A focus on developing quality sites with homes that are designed for people to enjoy has seen our sales outperform expectations, whilst Park House, our serviced office in Leeds is attracting interest from across the UK.”

The company will start development on three new office projects in 2014 to roll-out its concept of quality serviced offices in premium locations. Stonebridge Homes is also bringing larger residential developments on stream as the market returns and intends to double its size over the next two years.

Stonebridge Homes has seen strong demand in 2014 with off-plan sales up 50% on the same period last year. It builds high specification house types that are designed for modern living and priced competitively in local markets.

Stonebridge Homes is a joint venture with quoted Sheffield-based group Henry Boot.
