DEVELOPER and urban regeneration specialist Muse Developments has appointed senior development surveyor James Scott to boost its Yorkshire and North East team.
Scott joins from Leeds-based Wilton Developments where he was responsible for the identification, acquisition and on-going management of investment and development opportunities.
He brings with him more than 15 years’ experience in the property sector.
He joins Muse to work on its expanding development portfolio in Yorkshire, the North East and the East Midlands.

A FORMER bridal dress shop, a derelict part cinema premises and a tenanted residential care home are just some of the lots on offer at the next Eddisons property auction in Leeds.
The substantial double fronted former Farsley Brides premises in Farsley, near Pudsey, is being offered along with six self-contained, part tenanted flats and two garages, at a combined guide price of £300,000.
Meanwhile the former National Picture Theatre in Hull is guided at £35,000. The derelict Grade II listed premises on Beverley Road includes an advertising hoarding producing income of £1,500 a year.
Elsewhere, Ashton Lodge, a tenanted residential care home for the elderly in Maltby, near Rotherham, is guided at £380,000.
Other highlights include a fully let retail and residential investment on Kirkstall Road in Leeds, producing income of £13,240 a year and guided at £120,000, a potential gross return of over 11%.
The Leeds sale takes place at Elland Road on May 22.

PROPERTY consultancy Carter Jonas, the principal manager of rural estates in Yorkshire, has further expanded its rural land and business team.
Sam Johnson, who will operate from the Harrogate office, has joined as an associate and will specialise in the sale of land, farms and estates across the North of England working with colleagues from the York, Harrogate, Boroughbridge and Kendal offices.
He joins the firm from property agent George F. White and brings with him experience in general rural practice surveying, especially in the sale and acquisition of rural property and valuations together with compensation and compulsory purchase work.

CLUGSTON Construction, the construction and civil engineering company that is part of the Clugston Group of companies, has won the Contractor of the Year award at the Committed to Construction In West Yorkshire Awards (CCIWY).
The awards were hosted by the Chartered Institute of Building and took place at the Royal Armouries. Clugston Construction was shortlisted in four categories.
Clugston Construction has worked on multiple projects across the West Yorkshire region, including recently completing the refurbishment of the former Richmond Flats in Huddersfield, now known as Harold Wilson Court.
The awards commend and celebrate high quality work by West Yorkshire’s construction industry supply chain, including developers, designers and builders.
