New lettings at shopping centre

ST MODWEN Modwen has agreed 11 new leases with new and existing tenants at Waterdale Shopping Centre, as part of its redevelopment plans for the site in Doncaster.

New tenants, HDH Law and Hairkraft, have signed three-year leases with St Modwen for newly refurbished units at the shopping centre. They will join existing retailers, including Cooplands, Doncaster Refurnish, Mick’s Cabs, Café Java and Cafe Alfresco, which have also recently renewed leases.

This marks the latest milestone at Waterdale Shopping Centre since St Modwen took ownership of the site in autumn 2013. It forms part of the developer’s plans to revitalise the centre in order to deliver a more modern and attractive shopping environment for both retailers and customers.

Richard Bannister, development manager at St Modwen, said: “We know that Waterdale Shopping Centre is an important town centre location for many people in Doncaster and we are committed to revitalising the site. We continue to progress our plans to give a new lease of life to the centre, and we are in ongoing discussions with potential new tenants to provide a better shopping experience for customers, and also generate new job opportunities for the local area.”
