Jelf relocates to city centre

JELF Group has relocated its Leeds branch to a custom-designed office in the city centre after signing a ten year lease.

The insurance broker, employee benefits, healthcare and financial planning consultancy has taken 3,500 sq ft suite at 84 Albion Street, which was refurbished by Harrogate-based, Commercial Estates Group (CEG).

Director of Jelf, Chris Brady, said: “Having outgrown our existing offices we needed to find space which would not only accommodate our existing team, but also provide us with the flexibility for future growth.

“This new office provides us with just that. It is an excellent base, in a great location and heralds an exciting new business chapter for us as we work towards being the leading corporate insurance broker and risk management adviser not only in Leeds but the Yorkshire region.”

Jelf’s Leeds operation, which employs 20, has joined existing occupiers Metis Law and L’Oreal in the city centre building.

Only three suites now remain on the fourth, fifth and sixth floors of the building and commercial property agents Fox Lloyd Jones and WSB Property Consultants are working jointly to let the space on the behalf of CEG.

Commenting on the office space, Duncan Senior of WSB said: “This scheme is offering potential occupiers exceptional accommodation that breaks the mould of the traditional office by giving businesses the opportunity to create modern Grade A office space, providing a product specifically designed for them.

Nick Salkeld of Fox Lloyd Jones added: “84 Albion Place is in an ideal location, in the centre of Leeds with the benefit of private parking. It is in the heart of the retail and leisure quarter and the train station is just a five minutes’ walk. With the interest shown to date, we expect the final suites to be let relatively quickly.”
