Ex-BDO and KPMG partner hire for Park Place

PARK Park Place Corporate Finance has hired a former BDO and KPMG partner.
Tim Clarke will join David Hardless and Tim Simpson in leading the team at the Leeds-based firm.
He joins having had lengthy partner spells at both KPMG and BDO over the past 25 years, where he gained substantial experience advising on public, private and institutional transactions.
Clarke said: “Having completed over 100 deals in my time with the multi stream professional firms, I felt that the corporate finance market, particularly in the regions, is shifting towards more focussed independent firms. Companies and institutions increasingly want greater access to, objective, confidential, Independent and experienced advisers when they have important financial decisions to make. I am very much looking forward to working with David and Tim whom, with the rest of the Park Place team have built up an enviable reputation and strong retained client base over the last decade.”
Park Place has hailed a succesful 2014, having advised on a total of 12 transactions with an aggregate deal value approaching £1.5bn. Notable deals include the secondary MBO of Callcredit, the equity release transaction for Harvard Engineering and the debt refinancing of Adare.
