Work starts on major new retail destination

CADDICK Construction has begun work on a major new retail park in the region.

The company was awarded the £20m contract for Kirkstall Bridge Shopping Park earlier this year. The development will create around 120,000sq ft of retail space and the work coincides with the recent Kirkstall Forge announcement, where a new railway station and access road will be completed by summer next year.

The shopping park, which is set to be trading by Christmas 2015, has already confirmed an impressive list of tenants.  Pre-lets include BHS, JD Sport, Outfit, M&S, Costa Coffee and Pure Gym.

Andrew Murray, managing director at Yorkshire’s Caddick Construction, said: “Securing this major project in Kirkstall is a great addition to our retail portfolio of work. This is an exciting time for the region and we’re proud to have been chosen to deliver this sensational project.”

Caddick Construction will be working alongside Rowney Sharman Project Consultants, Corstorphine + Wright Architects, Macgregor Smith Landscape Architecture, Quantum Consulting, Evolve Consulting Engineers, Shore Engineering, TÜV SÜD Wallace Whittle and SCP Transport.
