Appointments: OneMedicalGroup; First4Lawyers; Nexus

OneMedicalGroup, a provider of healthcare solutions for premises and care delivery with its head office in Leeds, has recruited Steve Kingston as group finance director.

He joins OneMedicalGroup with 20 years’ experience working in finance, after qualifying as a chartered accountant with KPMG.

Mr Kingston has worked in several senior finance roles including Arcadia, Hallmark Cards and most recently as finance director for Bupa Home Healthcare.

In his new role at OneMedicalGroup he will play a key part in the achievement of the company growth strategy, overseeing the financial aspects of their care delivery and premises developments.

ANDY KAY, the former managing director of AmTrust Europe Legal has been hired by First4Lawyers as director of operations.

Mr Kay will be responsible for developing and implementing First4Lawyers’ business strategy, as well as overseeing the day-to-day operations of the business. He will work closely with First4Lawyers’ managing director Qamar Anwar and be based in the Huddersfield office. 

With more than 25 years’ experience in the insurance and legal sector, Mr Kay has worked with a number of businesses, including AXA, D J Miller and City Claims. In 2001, he joined Complete Claims as operations director, where he was instrumental in growing the business and installing a solid operating team. His responsibilities included overseeing the day-to-day operations of the business, including customer service, partner relationships and claims controls. 

When in 2008 the firm was acquired by US owned IGI Group, he was appointed managing director with responsibility for all business functions and regulatory compliance, as well as managing the outsourced claims management services provided to a national insurance brokerage. Under his leadership the firm conducted a re-brand to AmTrust Europe Legal, to reflect the new ownership, as well as navigating the challenges of a changing market, quadrupling annual profits in the process.

NEXUS, the Yorkshire-based corporate vehicle rental provider, has appointed Tracey Hamlin as national account manager.

Ms Hamlin will be responsible for the management of some of Nexus’ largest accounts, and has been appointed to support the company’s growing nationwide client base.

She joins Nexus with over 20 years’ industry experience, previously holding similar roles at Thrifty Car Rental, Arnold Clarke and National Car Rental.

Keith Watson, sales and marketing director at Nexus, said: “Tracey has a wealth of experience managing national clients at some of the industry’s most renowned companies. Our growth over the last few months has led to a need for a dedicated national account manager role and we are confident Tracey will be an asset to our team.”
