International deals propel telematics firm forwards

TELEMATICS firmThe Floow expects turnover to exceed £4m in 2015 as a result of international expansion and client wins.

The business, launched in 2012, has announced the launch of its latest project in partnership with RSA Group’s Scandinavian arm, Codan and already operates in Ireland and the US, employing 40 people.

From its base in Sheffield, the organisation is set to launch additional products with yet more insurance brands in North America and Europe, and are in talks with other industry leaders who are keen to explore other telematics uses.

Aldo Monteforte, co-founder and chief executive of The Floow, says it is “the company’s diverse and exceptional technical talents combined with staff’s commitment to delivering excellence” that has catalysed growth over the past three years.

Mr Monteforte said: “Our first three years have been blessed with key client acquisitions, and we are extremely proud to have received so many accolades during our rapid growth.

“In addition to the expansion of personnel, which has seen us grow from a team of three to a team of 40, we have also expanded our reach – now working with some of the world’s leading insurance companies in established and emerging telematics markets.

“We have worked hard to establish a brand that is known for its innovative approach and in the process created a team that operates the bleeding edge of this exciting industry.

“As proud as we are of where we have come from, we are also excited to look to the future. In the coming months we have a number of partnerships set to launch and some exciting new products making their way on to the market – each one bespoke and specific to our clients and their customer’s needs.”
