Appointments: Dow Schofield Watts, Langleys, DS.Emotion

DOW SCHOFIELD WATTS the professional advisory and equity finance firm, has appointed Tony Norwood as a director in its corporate finance team.

Tony qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PwC in 2000 and is a long-standing member of the Yorkshire corporate finance community, having previously held senior roles within Bank of Scotland Integrated Finance and private equity firm, LDC.

DSW’s 16-strong corporate finance team advises a wide range of companies across the North of England on acquisitions, business sales, financing raising and buy-outs.

Tony joins the Yorkshire & North East office established in 2012 by former Deloitte partner, Roger Esler.

Mr Esler said: “Tony’s considerable experience in banking, leveraged finance, private equity and working in senior industry positions will be invaluable to DSW as we continue to advise businesses on raising capital and executing deals.

“It is also relevant to our SME investment activity in PHD. His appointment reflects what DSW is about – partner led delivery of specialist advisory services based on many years of experience and direct access to capital for SMEs.”

 

Alex Birch of Langleys with Christian HuntLangleys Solicitors has appointed associate solicitor Alex Birch.

Ms Birch joins York-based Langleys from DWF in Leeds, having previously worked at Cobbetts and Nabarro.

She has considerable experience in advising public and private companies, management teams and their respective advisers on M&A, MBOs and corporate governance issues.

Christian Hunt, who heads up the corporate team at Langleys, said: “Alex’s focus on developing long term relationships with clients and advisers and providing sound commercial advice fits well with the values of Langleys and we are delighted to welcome her to the team.”

Alex Richardson of DS EmotionAlex Richardson has been appointed to head up the digital team at DS.Emotion in Leeds.

Mr Richardson joins marketing agency from Brass where he led integrated campaigns for brands including Lucozade and Ribena.

He will pick up digital campaign planning for Moda Living, Civica, Henry Boot, Hill Residential and Fullers Foods Plc.
