ZOO Digital expects a stellar year after major contract wins

CLOUD-based production software firm ZOO Digital Group is expecting a good year after contract wins with major players such as Apple and the BBC.

The Sheffield-based firm is expecting to increase revenue to £7.36m from £6.2m the year before.

The firm has recently won contracts with BBC Worldwide and Apple Computers as an iTunes delivery partner.

However the firm expects a loss at EBITDA level, which the firm blames on seasonality in the entertainment industry as well as disruptions within a major customer, which has led to the firm concentrating on the diversification of its customer base.

Stuart Green, chief executive officer said: “We are encouraged by the positive momentum of our cloud-based solutions and the opportunities arising from recent client successes.

“Although the home entertainment market continues to be volatile and evolve rapidly, the investments that we have made during the year in our language translation capabilities are expected to support improved margins, notably in subtitling services.”
