Hotel up for sale as operator goes into administration

A YORKSHIRE hotel is among five that have been put up for sale after operators Prima Hotels called in the administrators.
Advisory firm AlixPartners was appointed to four hotels in England and one in Scotland, including the Hellaby Hall Hotel in Rotherham, a 17th century building with 89 rooms which was converted into a four star hotel.
The others included two Cheshire sites, The Stanneylands Hotel near Wilmslow and Nunsmere Hall Hotel near Northwich, The Quorn Country Hotel in Leicestershire and the Royal Terrace Hotel in Edinburgh.
AlixPartners said: “The Joint Administrators will continue to trade the hotels while exploring all options.
The hotels are all located in very popular areas and have a healthy number of existing bookings which the administrators intend to honour. “
The hotels will be operated by Legacy Hotels and Resorts Limited as part of the administration.
Joint administrator Ryan Grant said: “We will continue to trade the hotels on a ‘business as usual’ basis and intend to honour all bookings made prior to our appointment.
“We believe the businesses are attractive to a range of potential buyers and welcome expressions of interest from third parties to acquire any or all of the sites.
“We would also like to thank the staff for their continued support and professionalism during this process.”
According to Companies House, the directors of Prima Hotels are Cheshire based Irish couple Liam and Sylvia Walshe.
