Appointments: Connect Gazelles, Mazars, Langleys

NOT-FOR-PROFIT entrepreneurs organisation Connect Gazelles has appointed two board members.
David Longbottom built Pro-Pak foods from his father’s Bradford butchers, and the firm now reports revenues over £30m. He sold the business in 2005.
Jacqui Hall became interim chief executive of major Harrogate employer CNG energy, bringing the firm to £200m turnover with 90 staff and a 4% market share of the commercial gas supply market, from £2m in 1998.
She led an MBO of the firm from the founding family in 2011.

A VAT director has been appointed at Mazars to boost the firm’s Leeds office.
Juliet Bailey will join the Yorkshire office and concentrate on owner-managed businesses on VAT and cash-generating reviews.
Ian Archibald, tax partner at Mazars said: “We are delighted to welcome Juliet to the Mazars team. She has a considerable experience in VAT and is a valuable addition to the team.”

Langleys, the York-based law firm has boosted its employment law offering with the appointment of assistant solicitor Lyndsey Crook.
Ms Crook recently worked for Ford & Warren in Leeds where she qualified in 2011, and before that was a paralegal at Walker Morris.
