Law firm hits double digit growth

LAW firm Blacks Solicitors has had a year of double digit growth, with 15 appointments made during the year to boost its team.

Blacks’ turnover has hit £10.2m, and profits have increased 14% to £1.66m for for the 2014/15 year.

Increases in quantity and size of the deals the company is doing, as well as investment in the firm’s infrastructure and workforce is said to be behind the growth.

Iain Jenkins is the latest recruit, joining the employment law team from Lee & Priestley.

Chris Allen, managing partner at Blacks, who is well known for his innovative approach to the legal sector, and the use of social media, said: “Our growing reputation means that more organisations are turning to us for advice.

Leeds-based Blacks Solicitors have 15 partners and staff numbers reaching 193. The firm specialises in employment, music and sports law.
