TWO more deals have been secured at Sunny Bank Mills near Farsley, where soap staple Emmerdale and Heartbeat were filmed.

Think Architecture has relocated to the site from Headingley, taking 632 sq ft, and catering firm Bears Pantry has also taken 780 sq ft for its kitchen premises.

Directors John and William Gaunt, whose family have owned Sunny Bank Mills for over 200 years, have invested £4 million in the mills to regenerate the 10-acre site and to reclaim its status as the prime employer in Farsley.

John Gaunt said: “We are delighted to welcome our two brand-new new tenants to Sunny Bank Mills. Both are ambitious, innovative companies, looking to expand and prosper. We believe Sunny Bank Mills is the perfect base for them.

LEEDS chartered surveyors Stephenson Day, acting on behalf of a private investor, have acquired a prime Newcastle retail site for £1.4m.

123-125 Northumberland Street in Newcastle, which is let to Blue Ocean Corporate FInance, trading as Eat 4 Less, produces £108,000 per annum, and the acquisition represents 7.29% net initial yield.

A WHARFEDALE commercial development totalling 10,000 sq ft, with five units, has been fully sold six weeks prior to completion.

Sole agent Dale Eddison Commercial, acting on behalf of Pendle Developments, sold four units to owner occupiers with the fifth sold to a private investor.

Richard Heslop, director of Dale Eddison Commercial, said: “Interest in the scheme had been strong from day one and we could have sold the buildings three times over.”

THE annual Yorkshire Property Charity Football match, has raised more than £100,000 for Barnardos in the past three years, returns this September.

Yorkshire Property Agents will play Yorkshire Property Professionals at the John Charles Centre for Sport on September 17 as part of a day of fundraising.

The committee has decided to raise funds for a number of different local charities this year naming Leeds-based Candlelighters, which supports families with children with cancer, as the first beneficiary.
