A PHARMACY from Hull estate firm Citycare are in the process of developing a pharmacy complex for Lloyds Pharmacy.

The firm is developing unused land opposite the Morrill Street Health Centre

Citycare are investing in and developing the 1,614 sq ft retail space, following the redevelopment of the Morrill Street Health Campus in 2013.

Tim Wigglesworth, development manager, said: “Having worked with local service providers to reimagine the Morrill Street Health Campus a few years ago, we knew that a pharmacy would be the final piece of the jigsaw for patients and visitors.

“By having a pharmacy on the doorstep of the health centres, patients are able to collect their prescriptions without having to make another journey.”

The project, which is due to complete and open before Christmas, will look and feel very similar to the recently opened New Green Surgery.

Lauren Boyce, regional development manager for Lloyds Pharmacy said: “Lloyds Pharmacy is pleased to be relocating to these purpose-built premises, which will enable us to better meet the needs of our patients in Hull.

“The larger building will be fitted to our new European Pharmacy Network specification, offering a bright, modern pharmacy space which will allow our colleagues to offer customers an improved service”
