Manufacturer boxes off expansion plans

A PACKAGING manufacturer has taken more than 50,000 sq ft of space at Thorne Park in Doncaster as part of its expansion plans.

Boxes and Packaging has signed a 10-year lease for the unit that will enable the company, which has another dozen manufacturing facilities around the UK, to increase production and drive growth. The corrugated packaging manufacturer will move in to the 52,160 sq ft unit once works are completed on the site at the end of next month.

The company supply a range of customers with the design and manufacture of corrugated packaging solutions and in-house printing, along with ancillary packaging products.
Stacey Austin, managing director of Boxes and Packaging (Doncaster), said: “We made the decision to expand our Doncaster operations to Thorne Park due to its excellent location and access to the UK motorway networks.  It will allow us to increase our production capabilities, enjoy increased logistical efficiencies and drive further growth for our company and for the local economy.”
Thorne Park is a joint venture development by Henry Boot Developments that is situated at Junction 6 on the M18, and the final phase of the site is scheduled to be completed this autumn.
Tim Burn, project manager for Henry Boot Developments Ltd, said “We are excited that Boxes and Packaging are to expand its Doncaster operations to the newly refurbished industrial unit at Thorne Park. We aim to offer the highest quality operational accommodation and we believe Thorne Park provides this.”
