Appointments: ABP, JM Glendinning Financial Services, Calbee UK

A HEAD of operations at the ports of Goole and Hull for Associated British Ports have been appointed.
Colin McLoughlin has previously worked in the ports industry, starting out as a junior warehouse assistant at 16 years old, to spending eight years in the bulks department of Peel Ports in Liverpool.
Associated British Ports (ABP) Humber has welcomed Colin McLoughlin to the role of Head of Operations at the ports of Hull and Goole.
In early 2015 the head of operations role at ABP Humber became vacant, and Mr McLoughlin said: “I’m really looking forward to getting to know the business and the operations team here at ABP and working with colleagues to improve performance and give our customers the best possible service.”
ABP Port Manager for Hull & Goole Mark Frith said: “We’re extremely fortunate to have Colin leading our operations department. He brings with him a wealth of experience that will be extremely valuable as he sets about developing the team.
“I’m confident he’ll make a real difference to operations on the Humber by sharing best practise.”

INSURANCE brokers JM Glendinning Financial Services have added Andy Chapman to their team.
With expertise in wealth management and retirement planning, Mr Chapman joins the financial services team in Guiseley from Ashcourt Rowan where he was a senior advisor for seven years.
He has previously held roles at Sun Life and Robson Rhodes, as well as building and selling his own financial services business Skene Chapman.
JM Glendinning is planning to double in size in the next two years.
Mr Chapman said: “I’m very pleased to be joining the JM Glendinning team. The culture and ethos of the business were both big draws for me.
“The fact that it is a forward-looking family owned and run business is refreshing, and a flat structure means there are opportunities for everyone’s voice to be heard.

THE first European subsidiary of Japanese business Calbee Inc has appointed Patricia Jameson as customer service manager, and Michael Bentham as sales and operational planning manager.
The £1.2bn Japanese savoury snack business launched in Leeds earlier this year, growing roots in the region to expand and deliver to customers across Europe.
