Westfield Health announces HQ contractor

INSURER Westfield Health has appointed a main contractor for its Sheffield city centre headquarters.

The firm is moving offices to cope with expansion as it marks its 50th anniversary.

Keeping it in South Yorkshire, Sheffield-based J F Finnegan has been appointed to the design and build work of Milton House.

Planning was approved by Sheffield City Council earlier this year for the building’s revamp.

With Westfield Health’s centenary approaching, the development its new headquarters and move from its current offices on Division Street, where it has been since 1973, represents the start of an exciting new era for the company.

Julie Gill, executive director of operations at Westfield Health, said: “We are delighted to appoint J F Finnegan Ltd as the main contractor on our development of Milton House. Throughout this project, our commitment to Sheffield, where we have been based for almost 100 years, has been clear and the appointment of another leading city business to work with us reaffirms that pledge.

“This is an important time in our history, both for our team and our customers. We’re really looking forward to working with J F Finnegan Ltd, who are the perfect fit for this project, and to see our exciting plans for Milton House become a reality.”

Dawa Singh, head of pre-construction at J F Finnegan, which is turning 70 years-old this year, said: “We are proud to be working with Westfield Health on this exciting project.
