Software firm creates 50 Leeds jobs

SOFTWARE services firm SoftwareONE is opening its first Northern office in Leeds, creating 50 jobs in the city.

This follows a “surge” of major account wins in this part of the country.

Fourteen leading software experts have already joined the team in Leeds and a further 8 are scheduled to start before the end of 2015. The new office hopes to bring more than 50 new jobs to the city centre over the next 18 months.

Head of Northern accounts at SoftwareONE, Tracy Parish said: “As a city, Leeds is the largest economic area in the country outside of London with over 109,000 businesses ranging from multi nationals to dynamic SMEs.

“Establishing a presence for SoftwareONE in Leeds will not only create more jobs, but it will also present a huge opportunity for us to support the emerging and evolving technology scene in the North.

“We have invested heavily in the growth of the team in Leeds and will continue to do so, to ensure we can offer the very best, customer-focused service to new and existing clients.”

SoftwareONE has 150 UK staff and operates in 115 countries across the globe. It has been privately owned since 1985 and helps organisations reduce the cost and complexity of managing their software portfolio.
