TWISTED AUTOMOTIVE has appointed a brand manager, Erica Thorpe, to support the firm’s international expansion and brand partnerships.
Ms Thorpe joins the business from White Horse Digital, where she was a client and media services manager.
Alex Duckett, operations director said: “Erica brings a wealth of experience to the business and some much needed digital nous. She will play a key role in supporting the management team going forward.”
North Yorkshire-based Twisted buys Land Rover Defenders, before modifying them to customers’ specifications. It provides custom builds and restores existing vehicles.
The company creates around 50 tailored Defenders a year, prices range from £40,000 to £180,000 for vehicles.

INSURANCE brokers Marshall Woolridge have appointed Imran Khan as business broking manager.
Starting on October 1, Mr Khan will report to managing director of Marshall Woolridge, James Hall, and is responsible for driving forward the firm’s business strategy.
Before joining the Yeadon-based firm, Mr Khan has had more than 10 years’ experience in the insurance industry. He joins from Romero Insurance and holds a degree in risk management.
Marshall Wooldridge are based in Yorkshire and employ 55 staff. The firm controls premiums of £22m.

DRAINAGE services firm DrainsAid has grown its sales team with the appointment of Nick Downward as regional sales executive.
Mr Downward peeviously worked in the surveying services and construction recruitment sales sectors.
Jason Monaghan, sales manager at DrainsAid, said: “Nick brings a wealth of experience that will benefit our growing business and help us to further develop our presence in the North of England.
“A key strategy in developing our operation has always been to attract high calibre candidates to our Wakefield head office, and following a fairly rigorous interview process I am positive Nick will be a key asset to our firm.”
Mr Downward, who will be reporting to sales manager Jason Monaghan, joins the team having previously spent five years with engineering consultancy, Pell Frischmann Consulting Engineers, whilst studying part time for a HND in civil engineering.
