Appointments: Leeds Building Society, Care Futures, Wolfstar

NON-EXECUTIVE director Gareth Hoskin has been appointed at Leeds Building Society.

Mr Hoskin was previously a director of Legal & General plc and chief executive of its International Division until his retirement in 2013. During his career, Gareth’s responsibilities have included Legal & General’s banking and insurance businesses, audit, remuneration and risk.

He currently serves as a non-executive director and trustee of Diabetes UK and is an advisor to the board of Green Park Partners.

He joins the board alongside four executive directors and eight non-executive directors, led by chairman Robin Ashton.

Mr Hoskin said “I understand the requirements of operating in a highly regulated environment and am excited to be joining Leeds Building Society’s Board at a time of strong growth and investment in the future of the business.”

“Gareth has more than 30 years’ experience at an executive level in professional and financial services, including 10 years with Price Waterhouse covering retail and banking markets, before two decades as a senior manager and board member at L&G, its international subsidiaries and joint ventures.”

SPECIALIST Leeds recruiters Care Futures has appointed Allan Tucker to their team.

Mr Tucker has nearly 10 years under his belt in the industry, and will be part of a team sourcing talent for social care organisations across the UK, from chief executives to senior managers and principals for the public and private sector

LEEDS PR & Social Media agency Wolfstar has appointed two new team members.

Account director Claire Grew joins from Good Relations where she worked with The National Lottery, Thwaites and B&Q.

Account executive Fran Wyatt has joined the Wolfstar team after graduating from Durham University with a degree in business and management. After finishing, she found a position as digital marketing coordinator at Cosy Cashmere where she ran social media accounts.

Board director, Marie Lees, said: “As we continue to grow, we are delighted to welcome Claire and Fran on board. They will both be extremely valuable members of the Wolfstar team.”

Wolfstar has recently won a string of new accounts including Ralli, Bravur Watches and Maha Lozi jewellery.
