Appointments: EY, Joe Manby, Advanced Dynamics

LEEDS-based partner at EY, Gareth James, has been appointed to head up the firm’s Data and Analytics practice within its UK assurance business.

Mr James joins the firm after 18 years at Deloitte, where he had been a UK risk analytics partner since 2011.

He will be based at EY’s Bridgewater Place offices. Mr James commented: “As organisations are evolving into data-driven digital enterprises, it is critical for assurance providers to be ahead of the game. Our team is continuously looking beyond existing assessments of an organisation’s risks, controls and records to achieve this.

A TRIO of promotions have boosted the team at Joe Manby, an independent, family-owned event service suppliers.

David Webster, Chris Wright and Marc Gaunt are all long-standing members of the events logistics team. Each has been promoted to the role of foreman.

The three new foremen will work with the senior management team at Joe Manby Limited to provide support to organisers and exhibitors on events across the UK

***BRADFORD-BASED Advanced Dynamics has appointed sales manager Tom Smith to the team.

The company is the UK distributor for renowned global labelling machine manufacturers such as Pack Leader, Köra-Packmat and Eurokett.

Managing director, Malcolm Little, said: “Tom brings with him great character, drive, invaluable industry experience and his appointment is a further commitment to the company’s mission to break into new markets, providing customers with the best expertise to go along with a range of cost-effective automated solutions to improve their production efficiency, quality and costs.

Advanced Dynamics now employs 11 people at its facility in Staithgate Lane, in Bradford.
