Kier Living aims to double turnover as it goes on acquisition trail

FOLLOWING the acquisition of defunct construction firm Southdale, Kier Living is predicting ambitious growth as it embarks on plans for its ‘Vision 2020′.

The northern division of Kier expects to double its output and turnover by 2020.

The company says it is intending on acquiring larger sites to facilitate this growth, which will be used for mixed tenure housing with a 60% bias towards affordable homes.

Earlier this year Kier Living acquired the assets of Southdale which was a developer of affordable homes in the North.

Paul Moore, managing director at Kier Living Northern said: “Southdale gave us a good foothold in the north and we have successfully leveraged this with the help of the strong credentials of Kier Living to expand our portfolio at a rapid pace.

“Combined with the northern talent through the Southdale acquisition, we are now in a very strong position to work with clients to help solve the national housing crisis, leveraging our end-to-end offering from funding, planning, development, housing maintenance, FM and private market sales expertise.”

“We have an existing pipeline of nearly 1000 units with nine new schemes under negotiation or in the bid process. Based on our track record, market growth and a half billion pound value in tender opportunity we believe that a 25% annual business increase is very achievable.”
