£200m-turnover recruiters make a move

£200M-TURNOVER recruitment group Transline are planning to expand after choosing a new bank, and with it, a new funding agreement.

Transline said the move and accompanying funding would allow “flexibility” to hunt for further contracts.

The business, which employs 15,000 temporary staff, is headquartered in Brighouse and has more than 100 offices throughout the UK.

Last week it was named in the Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100, as one of only seven Yorkshire businesses that were ranked.

In November, the company reported that it had sailed past the £200m turnover mark and was on track for £230m in revenues this year, with offices in Poland, Romania and Canada.

Paul Beasley and Jon Taylor, joint chief executives of the Transline Group, which they founded in 1989, said: “When we started Transline over 20 years ago, we were determined that we would stay at the cutting edge of the recruitment industry by deploying the very latest innovations and techniques.

“Since then, we have continually developed and introduced award-winning innovations that have led the field in many areas of staff recruitment and training.

“The time is right now to invest for the future and continue with our growth plans. Barclays has been able to provide a suite of banking products together with increased funding that will provide us with the flexibility to tender for new contracts and further develop the business.”

Alex Pryce, Barclays relationship director commented: “I have been working with Paul and Jon for some time now to see how we can support their growth and provide the facilities to take them to the next exciting chapter for the business.

“The business has seen global growth since its inception and with the new funding in place we’re looking forward to seeing that continue with their strategy that takes them into 2016 and beyond.”

Pinsent Masons were advisors for Barclays and Gunnercooke LLP acted for the Transline Group.
