Former college gets residential redevelopment

HOUSEBUILDER Peter Ward Homes has begun on site at a Beverley residential development.

The former home of East Riding College, Peter Ward acquired the site in December 2015 for an undisclosed sum.

The landmark site, which has been dubbed Old College, is located in the North Bar Without, New Walk, Molescroft area of Beverley.

One of the most prestigious residential developments in Beverley for many years has just been started by Peter Ward Homes.

36 four and five-bedroom homes will be built on the 392,040 sq ft site.

“Site access is along Gallows Lane” said Peter Ward, managing director of the company. “Once on site you realise why this is going to be one of the most impressive places to live.

“To begin with there are commanding views over the Westwood and the Racecourse. You couldn’t get a better combination”.

East Riding College has relocated to Flemingate and a brand new campus.
