£92m project to deliver hundreds of homes

THREE South Yorkshire developments totalling £92m are in the pipeline.

Housebuilder Avant Homes is building 470 homes in Pontefract, Wakefield and Barnsley.

The Pontefract project will deliver 160 homes at the 522,720 sq ft Cobblers Lane site.

In Wakefield, 137 townhouses, semi-detached and detached properties will be built on a site off Bar Lane.

Avant Homes will also deliver 174 properties on Carr Green Lane in Mapplewell, near Barnsley.

Avant Homes’ managing director, Mark Mitchell, said: “We are very excited to be bringing these three new developments to the region. With our exceptional property designs and superior all-inclusive specification, we expect to see a great deal of demand from buyers and for our investment in these sites to be fully justified.

“We’ve experienced large levels of interest in existing developments in these areas including Prince’s Park in Pontefract, Redwood in Wakefield and Bella View in Rotherham and because of this, we expect homes to sell very quickly once released.”

Building work has already begun in Pontefract and Wakefield, with work expected to begin at Mapplewell “imminently”.

Avant Homes recently rebranded from Ben Bailey Homes.
