Homes set for £50m Granary Wharf project

PLANS have been drawn up for the final phase of the Granary Wharf development.

Urban development firm CTP have partnered with regeneration company U+I for the housing-led £50m scheme in the heart of Holbeck Urban Village.

If planning is granted, construction work could begin in Autumn this year.

A public consultation will take place on Thursday 4 February.

The plans include 250 apartments on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, with 7,200 sq ft of office space.

The site in question is currently a surface-level long stay car park on Wharf Approach off Water Lane., adjoining the Tower Works site.

Manchester-based CTP chief executive David Topham said: “Granary Wharf is a vibrant hub in the heart of the city, and our latest plans continue to build on its success. There is a growing demand for high-quality accommodation in Leeds and our proposals will deliver 250 apartments alongside bars, cafes, restaurants and landscaped areas.”

Proposals have been announced for the area by Burberry and Commercial Estates Group.
